Okay, so thus far we have one vote in favor of the robeez knock-offs (thanks Annalea! So nice to meet you!), one strong vote pro-Robeez, and one vote anti-robeez, pro-Pedipeds).

Shown here is the Pediped "Harvey."

Anyway, all this to say that this discussion has not so much solved my children's shoe quandry as it has provoked another one: how do you pronounce that word, "Robeez"? B goes for "ROB-ease," while I think the correct pronunciation is clearly "row-bees." You be the judge.

I vote for Robeez. They were perfect pre-walking/just starting to walk shoes. They stayed on and were very cute. We also really liked the Zutano fleece side-snap booties, but they're not great for walking on a wood floor (slipping/falling baby).

Oh, and Sarah, you win the pronunciation game. Row-bees, for sure.

Have no idea about the pronounciation BUT i also say we like Ped-peds- check out Anni's http://lolaliving.blogspot.com/2007/06/who-really-has-most-style.html

They are pricey but that is what grandparenst are for- plus doesn't Elliot haev a b-day coming up...hmmm. I think RPM'ers might be able to get Elliot some :) the "Harvey" are so darn cute (and they stay in really good condition)- I also like them b/c they are less hot than Robeez!! ok, that is our 2 cents:)

We have row-beez too, gifts, so didn't have to think about it. If you go and check out the pedipeds I'll be interested to hear your thoughts.

They're pronounced "Robby's." And we've loved ours - The Baby was quite enchanted with hers but couldn't easily pull them off and they gave her little, early walking feet an extra layer of protection.
